Research Interests Forensic analysis of physiologically active compounds from plants, before and after passage through humans by chromatography and mass spectrometry.  Forensic DNA profiling technology and its use in illuminating the presence of individuals at crime scenes. Techniques used involve DNA extraction techniques, polymerase chain reaction, capillary electrophoresis, and clean conditions for detecting low copy number DNA. Mass spectrometric analysis of environmental samples of forensic interest.
