We offer a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry. The degree you wish to pursue depends on your goals beyond college.  The B.A., with fewer requirements, typically allows students greater flexibility in scheduling, with the idea that these students will pursue other subject areas to a greater depth.  Often students who pursue the B.A. in chemistry are interested in a double major, or several minors.  The B.S. degree, with a greater number of requirements, provides a more substantive technical training in Chemistry and comes with ACS certification.  Both degrees are viewed similarly from an employment or graduate school application point of view.
